"Parkway Theatre" Achieves Trademark Status

The US Patent and Trademark Office has issued conditional approval for our use of "Parkway Theatre" as a trademark in connection with "management and supervision of construction services associated with the restoration of [this] historic theatre." This allows attachment of the "™" symbol to the words "Parkway Theatre". Upon submission of some pro forma details to the USPTO, official registration of the mark should follow shortly, thereby allowing the use of the
symbol.

The Parkway™ - An idea whose time has come. Help make it happen.

Moving right along...

Whew! Updating of the Parkway web page is moving briskly and is now about 75% complete. Most of the content for the "News & Views" page is in place and most of the photos from the old pages have been re-posted. More photos, both vintage and contemporary, will be posted as soon as I find them! As time permits I will be posting comments here on several of the "News & Views" articles, particularly the "Charles North Vision Plan" and "Charles North - The Operations Manual". in which there are some troubling details.

This Blog's For YOU!

Welcome, everyone, to the Official Blog of the Parkway Theatre, Baltimore, Maryland. I am PotPat, resident Phantom of the Parkway Theatre, here to keep watch over your thoughts, comments, reflections, ponderings, appreciations, notions, concepts, percepts, views, observations, ideas, suggestions, speculations, encouragements, criticisms, witticisms, rants, raves, and general blathering about the rebirth of the Parkway, and how best to influence, cajole, convince, entice, inveigle, wheedle, coax, persuade, sway, induce, motivate, inspire, badger, or just outright bribe those with the suits and deep pockets that can make this project happen.

Along the way I will expect everyone to conduct themselves with decorum and polite behavior. I encourage lively discussion(s) but no name calling, flaming, cyberwedgies, etc., and above all, PLEASE stay on topic. There are/will be any number of similar discussion outlets for the Charles North/Station North Arts and Entertainment District revitalization effort(s). Let's keep this one focused on all things Parkway. To this end I will reserve the right to edit and or remove posts that are not compatible with the above philosophy, but will do so with due deliberation and restraint.

You are likewise invited to hang out over at the Parkway's Official Web Page (currently undergoing a much-needed face lift) for a more one-sided presentation (mine) about what I would like to see done to make my habitation there the most comforting for me; but apart from the comments you are encouraged to leave in the guestbook there, HERE is where the give-and-take, nitty-gritty, near real-time discourse will, and should transpire.
